Xero Tracking Category Upgrades

Xero Tracking Categories are a way to track your Invoices and Bills within Rave Build, as well as in Xero via the Rave Job Number box.

In today's blog, we'll run you through how to set this up.

Starting in Xero, click on "Accounting", then Tracking Categories. Create a new Tracking Category Name and call it "Rave Job Number/Name". You need to create at least one Category Option.

Remember to make sure this option matches the Job Number and Name in Rave. Once you have done this, come back to Rave and follow the instructions below. 

On the drop-down where your name is, click XERO then follow the 4-step instructions.

If you enable the auto-tracking, Rave will automatically create the tracking category for you and push it to Xero.

Now all of your Client Invoices and Supplier Bills will push to Xero with their job number as the tracking category. This makes it easier to find financial data for your projects by Job Number.

You can also run your P&L (profit and Loss) reports by Tracking Name and compare periods within that search range.
