Rave General Update -5th December 2024

Every month, we'll post a 'General Update' on the UPDATES page of our website, highlighting all the new features and improvements from the past few weeks.

We’ll also include a link to these updates in our monthly newsletter, making it easy for you to stay informed and access the latest features and enhancements.

If you have unsubscribed to our monthly newsletter and you'd like to re-subscribe please let us know at help@Ravebuild.co.nz

In this update, we're detailing these awesome improvements and features:

Buy Variance Report export to Excel with or without notes

New Project Stage customisation (formally called project status)

Show Sub Categories on Estimate and Variation Proposals

New Timesheets Advanced - Tasks vs Hours Report for Site Staff, Managers and Timesheet Users

Buy Variance Report Export to Excel with or without Notes

The RAVE Financial Management System's 'Buy Variance Report' allows you to compare your quotes vs. bills by Category and Sub-category level for a more granular back-costing view.

You'll find the 'Buy Variance Report' via your project's Budget sub-tab under the Project Reporting dropdown.

In this update we have added an export option via excel spreadsheet with colour coding and the ability to include the notes or exclude them.

New Project Stage customisation (Formally called Project Status)

The Site/Build Build Projects page displays all of your current projects.

A recent update has renamed what used to be called Project Status to Project Stage. This means that anywhere in Rave you used to see Project Status, you now see Project Stage.

The Project Stage is used to see at a glance at which stage your project is at without having to drill down into finer details.

We have also created a new permission in the Branch Settings that allows clients to customise their Project Stages. (Clients who are part of a Franchised group will not have this permission).

If you have a custom List of Project Stages you can now manage/update/archive this list via your Branch Settings - Project Settings Tab.

Show Sub Categories on Estimate and Variation Proposals

The latest update to our Estimate sub tab is to allow clients to generate an estimate/quote or variation with sub categories.

For clients using sub categories you can now include those on proposal styles Simple with prices, Detailed and Full using the new check box "Include Sub-Categories"

This is especially handy for Charge up Clients who want to show the sub categories to their clients on the charge up report as well as the Estimate.

New Timesheets Advanced - Tasks vs Hours Report for Site Staff, Site Managers and Timesheet Users

Hot off the back of our new Timesheets Advanced Feature we have created another new report.

The timesheet Task Hours report is a condensed version of our Budget Report in the Timesheets Advanced Module.

Site Managers, Site Staff, and Timesheet users can have this report turned so that they can see the Estimated hours per task vs. their Actual timesheet hours.  We then display the variance hours as a + or - .= amount.

The team can then click any 'person' icon to view which staff members made up the hours in the report.

This report has no sensitive financial information, so itis handy to help the timesheet staff stay on track with their hours per task

This report is also exportable to CSV and PDF

That's all for this update. Stay tuned for more next time..
