Branch-Level Bills - RAVE Financial NEW Feature

RAVE's Financial Management System has just launched an exciting new feature called 'Branch-Level Bills'. This is a real game changer for the New Zealand residential construction industry when managing bills (and credit notes) that need to be spread over multiple projects.

To put it simply, these Branch-Level Bill workflows allow you to load multi-project bills (and credit notes) from a single supplier into RAVE, splitting the cost or credit across multiple jobs i.e. a monthly single power supply bill, or rubbish bin hire credit note across multiple projects/sites.

With RAVE's optional Financial Management System module activated, you'll find the Branch-Level 'Bills In' sub-tab via the 'Financial' button, sitting between the branch 'Overview' and 'Profitability Report' sub-tabs.

> Refer to our ‘RAVE’s New FMS Feature – Branch-Level Bills (and Credit Notes)‘ blog for more details
> A ‘RAVE’s New FMS Feature – Branch-Level Bills (and Credit Notes)’ FAQ guide is available from the RAVE Help portal.

Transaction Report - RAVE Financial NEW Feature

The RAVE Financial Management System's new 'Transaction Report' allows you to easily view ALL of your project's bills (and credit notes) in one place. The transaction report displays the bill (or credit note) description, quantity, line price, cost centre, and more - with simple search functionality and filters to help you quickly find the information you need.

You can export your project's transactions report to a CSV file for manual manipulation, or use the on-screen display to quickly reference the line items back to your back costing report - ensuring all bills and credit notes are correctly accounted for, for accurate financial reporting.

You'll find the 'Transaction Report' via your project's Budget / Financial sub-tab - to the right of the Charge Up Report sub-tab.

> A ‘Transaction Report’ FAQ guide is available from the RAVE Help portal.

'Delete' and 'Update' Bulk Actions Added to the 'Bills In' sub-tab - RAVE Financial Update

We now allow users to bulk delete line items on Bills, Credit Notes and Invoices, and bulk update cost centres & categories of multiple items at once, on Bills, Credit Notes and Invoices - on the new look 'Bills In' sub-tab.

NOTE: If cost centres are updated in RAVE, they will also be updated in Xero with payment syncing turned on.

'Cancel' and 'Approve' Bulk Actions Added to the Branch-Level 'Bills' sub-tab - RAVE Financial Update

We now allow users to bulk cancel and approve Branch-Level bills using the bulk action bar.

Refinements

Improved Consistency Across RAVE modules - RAVE Update
We have made the following updates to improve consistency across the Site/Build, Client and Financial area's of RAVE:

  • Aligned table column order to show the Client column first and the Project column second
  • Aligned the Project/Job No. table headers to read as 'Project'
  • Aligned the Build Projects table/column data to display the 'Project' + 'Contract Name'

Allow Site Managers to See the Schedule Baseline Shift and Schedule Audit Reports - RAVE Update
Site Managers with Schedule Editing permissions turned on, are now able to view the Schedule Baseline Shift and Schedule Audit sub-tabs for l'ocked schedule baseline' projects.

Ability to Change a PO Supplier/Contractor once Approved is Disabled - RAVE Financial Update
Some RAVE FMS users were receiving delivery of items on cancelled purchase orders when the PO supplier was changed, and then cancelled, after the PO was previously approved.

Now PO suppliers/contractors cannot be changed once approved or sent - users now need to cancel the PO and create a new one. Purchase Order suppliers are notified when a PO has been cancelled.

25MB File Limit on Invoiceable Comments and Notes - RAVE Financial Update
The majority of free email providers (Gmail, Yahoo etc.) apply a maximum attachment size limit of 25Mb to send/receive emails with attachments - this meant that these RAVE users were not receiving emails from RAVE with attachments exceeding 25MB.

We have applied a 25MB total size limit to Invoiceable Notes and Comments to ensure email recipients using free email providers will still receive these emails. Now when a RAVE user attempts to create an invoiceable Comment or Note using a set of files exceeding 25MB, they will see a validation error message.

A Full Breakdown of Totals Added to the Settlement Statement - RAVE Financial Update
RAVE FMS users are now able to see a full breakdown of costs on the Settlement Statement - also lining up with their contract totals. The following totals are now displayed on the Settlement Statement:

  • Non Contract total
  • Deposit Total
  • Other total
  • Payment Total
  • Variations Total
